Research Field

I am interested in regional and generational phonetic variations of Japanese vowels and consonants, including diachronic changes. I am also interested in generational differences of Korean segmanetals. Recently I have been doing research on Korean consonants and vowels and their applications for Korean pronunciation teaching.
