最近の活動

私の仕事は、社会運動、文化的実践、政治生活における創造的メディアのダイナミクスに取り組むものです。教師でありドキュメンタリー映画制作者として、「ビジュアル政治学」「社会運動」「東南アジアの政治と社会」「比較政治学」などの授業を通じて、社会変革を記録する創造的な可能性を強調しています。最近の研究では、ハワイにおける視覚文化と政治的活動、現代タイ映画やアートにおける抗議の構造、そしてタイ・マレーシア国境地帯における音声や声の役割をテーマとしています。

私の教育へのアプローチは、実験、観察、そして社会的、文化的、政治的な世界とのつながりに触発されています。この意味で、私は学生たちに、私たちの周囲にいる人々の日常生活を探求することを奨励しています。私の授業では、参加と協働を通じて「人々」という概念を追求します。学際的なアプローチを取り入れることで、私たちが「故郷」と呼ぶ場所に影響を与えるグローバルなダイナミクスの一端を示したいと考えています。

    Sovereignty is the power of the decision in the context of the law. But self-determination is only a small part of how the elements fuse together. As Mauna Loa erupts, the lava flows, and rent rises, taro farmers in Kauaula Valley, Maui build a movement to safeguard their claims to ancestral lands. This research creates a visual record to elucidate the legal, historical, and social dynamics that keep this community intact.
