Profile

Koichi Yamamura, Ph.D. is a communication consultant with extensive experience in corporate communication, M&A communication, crisis communication, and communications measurement. He has published many articles including case studies and contributed chapters on the history of public relations in Japan in several books. He is a co-editor of 'Public Relations in Japan: Evolution of Communication Management in a Culture of Lifetime Employment.' A former executive vice president of a boutique PR firm in Tokyo, he has also held positions as head of measurement of a global automotive company and a senior advisor of a global communications measurement company. While teaching at AIU, he currently provides counsel on communication strategy to a bio start-up company that operates globally.
